Telltale’s The Walking Dead: The Final Season, which is now being completed by Skybound Games following the collapse of Telltale, is the latest title to become exclusive to Epic Games Store.
However, those who bought the season pass on Steam or other digital platforms will still get the new episodes. Those joining the game when it relaunches on January 15th with a new episode, ‘Broken Toys’, will have to go to Epic.
It seems the new games store owner may have had a hand in reuniting the original development team at Skybound.
“Epic stepped up to the plate immediately to work with us in order to bring the original team back together and ensure fans will receive the completed season of ‘Telltale’s The Walking Dead: The Final Season,” said president of interactive Dan Murray and Skybound Games CEO Ian Howe in a joint-statement.
