The Uncharted Film Gets A New Director, Just Dance Is Getting A Movie

Two chunks of video game related movie news for you starting with the promising signing of Dan Trachtenberg, director of 10 Cloverfield Lane, as the new director of the Uncharted movie. He replaces Shawn Levy who has left due to scheduling conflicts.

The last we heard about the movie was that Spider-Man star Tom Holland had signed up to play a younger version of Nathan Drake, but every time the Uncharted movie gets a new director they seem to ditch everything that had been agreed previously. As far as we know Tom is still starring in the film but as he’s rather busy being a super-hero he doesn’t seem to have much time for quipping his way round Aztec tombs, at least not in the near future.

In other movie news, the latest video game to get a movie is Just Dance. Now you may be thinking that Just Dance doesn’t have characters or a plot to transfer to a movie but that hasn’t stopped Hollywood having movies based on Dance Dance Revolution and Asteroids in the works.
