Rumours began circulating when some mollusc tweeted Bethesda that he had heard the game was transitioning to the free-to-play model as stocks of the boxed product had begun to run out in Australia. That’s how the people think now, no game on shelves = free-to-play.
I despair for humanity, I really do.
Anyway, cue lots of people getting uppity and screaming about Fallout 76 free-to-play, forcing Bethesda to categorically deny that is the plan.
There is no truth to this rumor.
