The Need for Speed franchise has been going for twenty six years with twenty four games in the main series so it’s no surprise that EA have another one in the works. The last game, Payback, was launched at the end of 2017 but was met with decidedly average reviews.
EA chief operating and financial officer Blake Jorgenson revealed a new game is on the way, along with a new Plants vs. Zombies title, during the EA earnings call. This was confirmed by DICE’s Ben Walke.

If recent history is anything to go by the new game will be announced at E3 2019.
