Sony’s first State of Play stream will be coming direct to you on Monday

Nintendo have long established a tradition of hosting internet streams to unveil their announcements and games with Nintendo Direct, and last year Microsoft got in on the game with the relaunch of Inside Xbox, but now it’s Sony’s turn, following in their footsteps with State of Play.

The first State of Play stream will be broadcast on Monday 25th March at 9PM GMT / 10PM CET, and will feature “new trailers, new game announcements and new gameplay footage”. You’ll be able to tun in via on Twitch, YouTube, Twitter and Facebook, or simply catch up on the video after the fact.

Sony say that they plan to host more of these streams throughout the year as well. With the company skipping out on attending E3, it will be particularly interesting to see if they host a State of Play stream around that time to make sure that they still get a share of the spotlight.

Either way, I guess we’ll have to see how it all comes together on Monday.
