Japanese publishers are having a bit of a love-in with PC at the moment, and so it’s absolutely no surprise that, having brought Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami to PC over the past year, SEGA are all set to release Yakuza Kiwami 2 for PC.
The game will be coming to Steam (and not the Epic Games Store) on 9th May for £24.99 / $29.99 / €29.99.
The game has been given a thorough optimisation for PC, boasting 4K resolution, unlocked framerates, customisable controls and some handy graphics options. It’s built on the latest Dragon Engine, which was first used in Yakuza 6 (a game that has not yet hopped over to PC), and is a comprehensive remake of Yakuza 2 from the PlayStation 2, boasting new side stories and mini-games as well as chapters devoted to the backstory of Goro Majima.
In our Yakuza Kiwami 2 review for the PlayStation 4 version of the game, Miguel said, “Since the release of Yakuza Kiwami, I’ve been dreaming of a remaster of Yakuza 2 to give what is easily my favourite game in the franchise the same level of modern day polish.” It’s a must-play in his books!
