Sony announce Three Crash Team Racing Nitro Fuelled PlayStation 4 bundles

Sony have announced a trio of PlayStation bundles that will launch on the same day as Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled, June 21st. Each one comes with a copy of the game which includes PlayStation exclusive retro skins for the karts and characters, and you also get an extra “exclusive Retro Sticker Pack to pimp your ride with truly turn-of-the-century, polygonal stylings.”

There’s rather a lot of caveats for the bundles depending on where you are in the world, so I’m just going to copy the whole lot from the PlayStation Blog rather than try an explain the unholy mess.

The first bundle will include a physical copy of Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, a jet black 1TB PS4 and two Dualshock 4 controllers, letting you jump straight into the competitive action**.

The second bundle includes a physical copy of Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fuelled, a jet black 1TB PS4 and a matching Dualshock 4 controller***. A third bundle includes a physical copy of the game, a 500GB PS4 and a matching Dualshock 4 controller****.

*Available in select markets. Check with your local retailer.

**1TB PS4 + two DS4 controller bundle will be available in France, Italy, Romania, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Greece, Portugal, Serbia, Albania, Macedonia

***1TB PS4 + one DS4 controller bundle will be available in Australia, New Zealand.

****500GB PS4 + one DS4 controller bundle will be available in UK, Ireland, Benelux, Portugal and Iceland.

Did you follow all of that?

Crash Team Racing Nitro Fuelled was revealed last year with Beenox on board to develop the remake. “It’s the authentic CTR experience, now fully-remastered and revved up to the max”, they said at the time.

Activision had an unexpected hit with the previous Crash Bandicoot remaster, it sold bucketloads whilst it was on PlayStation 4 and even more when the exclusivity period expired and it was ported to Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. Crash Team Racing Nitro Fuelled has no such exclusivity and will be hitting all three formats on the same day.
