At the Game Awards 505 Games and Typhoon Studios revealed Journey to the Savage Planet, an exploration title set on a planet that is, well, a little bit savage. At the time it was only a teaser trailer that was shown but now the first gameplay trailer has arrived, and it shows a very vibrant world with all sorts of alien fauna and flora. It looks like the main character’s ship has crashed on this planet so they have to find ways to survive which means finding resources and kicking aliens like footballs apparently.
Journey to the Savage Planet is in a first person perspective and the character has a tool that let’s them swing around the environment like a galactic Spider-Man, with the tool also doubling up as a gun for when the local wildlife decides you’ve gone to the wrong part of the planet. The trailer also shows the character running with a green blob between their fingers, which I assume is a resource required for something or there’s a very intricate nose picking system involved here.
Journey to the Savage Planet releases in early 2020 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC via the Epic Games Store.
