Lemonbomb Entertainment is bringing its own spin on the survival genre with Stranded Sails – Explorers of the Cursed Islands. You may guess from the game’s name that a crew has found itself on a mysterious island after they became shipwrecked, and now they have to find a way to survive. The main aim is to find the resources to build a new ship to leave the island but it’s not going to be an easy journey to fulfil. So much so that your crew is going to need to learn the farm and craft.
The stranded part is just one part of the game as the islands just happen to be cursed too, so there are a number of quests to get through which will include dealing with the cursed aspects of the world. You can’t just venture away from camp though as issues like hunger will plague your character. Therefore farming, hunting, and fishing will lead to finding dishes that can be taken into the wilds. The more complex the dish the longer it will sustain your character, and the better the buffs it will give. Those will be needed in a fight.
Stranded Sails – Explorers of the Cursed Islands will launch in October for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One. The game will launch with support for eight languages including English, German, French, Spanish, Russian, Japanese, traditional and simplified Chinese.
