Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled’s July patch improves loading times

The latest patch for Activision’s hit game Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled should have landed on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One over the weekend with Switch owners receiving it sometime this week. It’s the Nintendo gamers who should be most interested in the patch as the game will be using the systems new Boost Mode to speed up the rather lengthy loading times.

This patch represents the following platform versions:

  • PS4 – 1.07
  • Xbox One –
  • Switch – 1.05

Here’s what is going to be addressed in the patch:

All Platforms:

  • Loading time improvements on all platforms
  • Stability fixes when playing online
  • Adjustment to track selection frequency when choosing tracks in online matchmaking lobbies
  • Fix for various track lap exploits
  • Adjustment of global cooldown for power-ups on all players (prevent timeclock/warp orb spamming)
  • Fix to lobbies not repopulating properly after player quits
  • Fix to position shuffling and rewards at race end
  • Various other issues

Nintendo Switch Specific:

  • Improvements to loading times using Boost Mode

In the past few days dataminers have been scouring the files of the game and found references to extra characters. These could be released as DLC, or perhaps they were cut from the game, hopefully the former. The characters found are:
