A few more details of Square Enix’s Marvel’s Avengers game have filtered out from San Diego Comic-Con including the reveal of a new character, Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel. During a gameplay sequence which saw the heroes fighting Taskmaster (the Marvel villain, not the comedy game show on Dave), Kamala Khan was spotted watching the action from the sidelines wearing a Captain Marvel t-shirt.
It is not know if the character will be playable in the game but some have theorised that Ms. Marvel is narrating the debut trailer for the title and she will try and rebuild the Avengers. Noah Hughes, Studio Creative Director of Marvel’s Avengers has confirmed the game will task players to “reassemble the avengers” after the devastating attack seen in the first reveal trailer that seemingly kills off Captain America.
Hughes also revealed the game will feature locations outside of San Francisco, the only area seen so far. “Not only are we bringing the heroes to life, but we’re bringing that Marvel world to life as well. And we have a lot of that packed into the core campaign experience, a diversity of locations,” he said. Hugher’s also added there is “plenty of levelling up to do” and that post-game content will include “even greater threats” and that “co-ordinating as multiple Avengers will become a more significant demand.”
It has also been revealed that there will be micro-transactions in the game but they will only be “things that allow players to express their own identity,” so think skins and outfights for you favourite characters.

The game, which is being created by Crystal Dynamics with help from Eidos Montreal, Nixxes Software and Crystal Northwest, will arrive on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Stadia and PC on 15th May 2020.
