Fire Emblem: Three Houses is getting comfy at the top of the UK retail charts, as it settled in for a second week at number 1. Though it dropped 60% in sales compared to its first week, the summer months meant that there wasn’t any meaningful challenge to its position. Madden NFL 20 was the main new entry, and only managed to chart in fifth.
Despite having managed to break series records with its first week, doubling the sales of 2013’s Fire Emblem: Awakening, the previous best-seller, don’t expect Fire Emblem: Three Houses to hold onto the place for much longer. FIFA 19 was just 66 unit sales behind, thanks to sales and the ramp up to the new football season, and last week’s second place game, Wolfenstein: Youngblood, dropped from second to eighth with a comparable 61% drop in sales.
