Metro Exodus The Two Colonels DLC out tomorrow, here’s a trailer

4A Games has used the Inside Xbox conference at Gamescom today to give players a first look at Metro Exodus’ DLC The Two Colonels which will be available to download as of tomorrow.

The studio confirmed this would be coming a few days ago. The Two Colonels follows the story of Colonel Khlebnikov as Colonel Miller follows the path of Khelbnikov to find out what happened to him in the dangerous station of Novosibirsk.

The events of the DLC will be set before Metro Exodus so you can play it without having to worry too much about spoilers about the main campaign.

Recently it was confirmed by THQ Nordic that another Metro game will be made with book series author Dmitry Glukhovsky confirming that he will be involved with the next game story.

That will also probably settle which of Metro Exodus’ endings is deemed canon. What we don’t currently know is when to expect the next Metro game, but it’ll likely be a couple of years so a next generation title that may have a current generation port when it is all done.

Previously THQ Nordic confirmed that the Epic Games Store was the leading digital platform for sales of Metro Exodus, after it became exclusive to that platform. The game also performed very well on consoles and was the publisher’s biggest launch title.

When Metro Exodus was reviewed Nicole wrote:

Metro Exodus provides an immersive FPS experience that marks a new milestone for the franchise. Its survival-horror, sandbox and shooter elements are remarkably well balanced, constituting an engaging and thrilling game that’ll leave you no stranger to a good jump scare. The once linear horror franchise has been reformed, introducing expansive environments to indulge in without derailing the narrative. Metro Exodus is a must play.
