Final Fantasy XIV now supports butt plugs

News reaches us that Square Enix’s superb MMO can now give you pleasure in an altogether unexpected way if you have a PC and the relevant, ahem, hardware. The game has a bit of software called the Advanced Combat Tracker (ACT)  that can measure your performance in fights, and that software supports plugins.

There also happens to be a an open source library of controls that can be used to operate electronic sexy toys, known as the Buttplug library.

Can you see where this is going?

Yes, some filthmonger has mashed up the two and created plugin that will vibrate the sex toy of your choice when you are being attacked in the game. Why? “No comment,” says the author.

Configurable events consist of an action name, an attacker, a victim, and an intensity. The only necessary entries are duration and intensity, the former in seconds with one significant digit after the period, e.g. 0.2 for 0.2 seconds or 200 milliseconds. The action name is the name of the action as in-game, e.g. Rage of Halone or Regen. The victim and attacker strings are the in-game name of a PC or NPC, or YOU as special string for the character of the player on the computer where the plugin is running.

“Although Buttplug supports a lot of devices as well as different means of connecting them, ButtplACT currently only supports bluetooth vibrators,” the author notes.

If you wish to try the software for yourself then you can grab all the code from Github.

We recently posted a beginner’s guide to playing the Gunbreaker, one of the new rols introduced in the Final Fantasy XIV Shadowbringer expansion. I will check with the management but I am pretty sure we will not be posting a guide on how to use butt plugs with the game.
