Remedy reveal Control post-launch content roadmap – new game mode & expansions on the way

Remedy Entertainment’s Control is one of their best games yet, and for those that have been enjoying the supernatural action adventure, you’ll be over the moon to hear that they’ve got big plans for the game with a mixture of paid and free content in the works as we look toward 2020.

First up is a Photo Mode that will be added for free this autumn on all platforms, while December will see a new Expeditions game mode, throwing up some new end-game content to explore. This has Jesse helping Security Chief Arish explore the mysterious Formation and its strange surroundings. Expeditions will also be free to all players.

Heading into 2020 and Remedy are cooking up two paid expansions for the game: The Foundation and AWE. Both bring new story missions, teams, enemies and game mechanics, exploring new parts of the Oldest House.

The Foundation will explore the building’s history, with Jesse working to discover what lies beneath the Bureau at the behest of the Board. AWE heads over to the Investigations Sector, where the Bureau examines Altered World Events.

The Digital Deluxe Edition of the game includes both expansions, which are also part of the Season Pass and will be available separately. The Digital Deluxe also includes an extra side mission, Isolation, and some other bumf, as you’d expect.
