Looty shooty fans have propelled Borderlands 3 in to the top spot in the latest UK physical sales charts with the biggest boxed launch of the year so far, with Xbox exclusive Gears 5 snapping at it’s heels in second place. Borderlands 3 has sold less than half of the launch numbers for Borderlands 2 but many people have moved to digital copies since then, Gears 5 also saw a drop in sales with just 25% of those of Gears 4 but that title is also available on Games Pass.
eFootball PES 2020 is also a new entry at number three, a game that managed to improve on the sales of last year’s game by 18.5%, and Focus Home Interactive are no doubt very pleased with debut of Greedfall in fifth spot, one place below last week’s chart topper, NBA 2K20.
Daemon X Machina lands at No19 and although we seemed to have embraced basketball on this side of the pond hockey has yet to make an impact with NHL 20 just managing to squeeze in at the bottom of the chart.
