Though FIFA 20 is officially out today, players who bought premium editions of the game have had a couple of days to play around with it, and while FIFA Ultimate Team is the mode that draws a lot of attention from players, there is a strong contingent that gets FIFA for the career mode. That contingent is not happy with what is on offer in FIFA 20 at the moment.
#FixCareerMode is currently amongst the top trending on Twitter with thousands expressing the issues they have been facing in FIFA 20’s single player mode. These complaints include AI opposition teams not fielding their strongest line ups, the top teams wallowing near the bottom of the tables after the season has been going on for a while, player stamina depleting quickly, and transfers being uneven with some teams hoarding players making it impossible for bids to be put in for them.
Users have been compiling lists of the issues that they want EA to address.

EA is yet to address the campaign though as publicity grows the company may have to issue some kind of response. The company doesn’t exactly have the best reputation when it comes to addressing the public. After all who can forget such times like the infamous Reddit comment:
“The intent is to provide players with a sense of pride and accomplishment.”
That became the most downvoted comment in Reddit history. Then there was the time an EA VP told members of the UK’s Digital, Culture, Media, and Sport Committee that loot boxes were actually “surprise mechanics.” That didn’t go down as well as the company hoped either. The #FixCareerMode campaign comes from frustration from the impression that EA is neglecting it for Ultimate Team, and EA’s response has to address fan concerns properly and give some kind of information on what the future holds for the modes.
