Street Fighter V: Champion Edition announced for February, Gill returns

Capcom has made two major Street Fighter announcements today. First off is the reveal of Street Fighter V: Champion Edition which is set to release on February 14th for PS4 and PC. The Champion Edition will contain the majority of content from Street Fighter V and Street Fighter V: Arcade edition which means 40 fighters, 34 stages, and more than 200 costumes. It will not include the Fighting Chance costumes, Capcom Pro Tour DLC, and brand collaboration items.


In addition to the reveal of the Champion Edition is the reveal of a returning character. Gill will be making his way back to the roster. Players who already own the game will be able to get Gill from December for $5.99 / £4.99 / €5.99 or 100,000 Fight Money. Gill was the main boss of Street Fighter III, and has control of both ice and fire.

The Street Fighter V: Champion Edition will be available for $29.99/£24.99/€29.99 physically and digitally on PS4, and digitally on PC via Steam. From today current owners of any edition of Street Fighter V can get an upgrade pass for $24.99/£19.99/€24.99 which will unlock the Champion Edition content as it releases.
