The Division 2 offline for maintenance today

Ubisoft has taken its popular open world shooter offline for maintenance this morning. Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 won’t be accessible until the servers go back up in a couple of hours’ time. A post over on the official Ubisoft community forums reads:

The servers will shut down for maintenance on Wednesday, December 18that 9:30 AM CET / 3:30 AM EST / 0:30 AM PST. Estimated downtime is approximately 2 hours.

Patch notes will be available once The Division 2 is back online. Following the roll out of Title Update 6.1, Ubisoft has noted the following issues flagged by players:

  • Invisible walls.
  • Targeted loot behaving differently, not dropping as frequently as before.
  • Delayed delivery of Apparel Event keys for Year 1 pass owners.
    • This seems to fix itself after playing for a while, but we will investigate further.
  • Crosshairs disappearing.
  • Clan Caches are item Level 350.
    • This seems to be a visual bug only and the items inside have the correct item level.
  • Cassie Mendoza and other vendors not having any items in the inventory for some players.

Hopefully these issues will be resolved following today’s early maintenance.

Also, as compensation for last week’s extended downtime with the arrival of Title Update 6.1, all Agents who log in before December 31st will receive 3 Silent Night apparel event keys that can be redeemed for in game cosmetics.

When The Division 2 shifted to 6.1, it implemented the brand new “Hardcore Mode” for die hard fans wanting to put their skills to the test. Instead of being an additional difficulty tier, this mode gives you just one life and no respawns. To access Hardcore Mode you’ll need to create a new character. While most of the game remains unchanged you can only matchmake with other Division 2 Agents playing on Hardcore. Similarly, you can only encounter other Hardcore players when venturing into the Dark Zone.
