PlayStation Blog lists the top 20 games of the decade as chosen by voters

The official PlayStation Blog ran a vote for people to decide on the best games on the last decade that were available on the PlayStation consoles, and now the results are in. Some of the standings may surprise you but I don’t think the number one title will. After thousands of votes pouring in this is the definitive list of the PlayStation Games of the Decade.

    1. The Last of Us
    2. God of War
    3. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
    4. Grand Theft Auto V
    5. Red Dead Redemption II
    6. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
    7. Horizon Zero Dawn
    8. Bloodborne
    9. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End
    10. Marvel’s Spider-Man
    11. Persona 5
    12. Dark Souls
    13. Call of Duty: Black Ops II
    14. NieR: Automata
    15. Death Stranding
    16. Red Dead Redemption
    17. Mass Effect 2
    18. Fortnite
    19. Batman: Arkham City
    20. Resident Evil 2

The Last of Us has been voted the number one game to grace the PlayStation family in the last decade, with God of War following in second. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt managed to beat Grand Theft Auto V for the third place. However, Rockstar Games had a strong showing with three places in the top 20. Some new entries made an impression including Death Stranding, which came out right near the end of 2019.

It’s not surprising to see Skyrim be represented in the list considering the wider impact it has had as a meme. Fortnite has made a huge impact becoming one of the biggest games in the world, so seeing it here at 18th shouldn’t be too much of a shock. Of course, you may have your own views and disagree with that list. What games should have been there? The Last Guardian? Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain? Rocket League? Knack?

From the heady days of the Mega Drive up until the modern day gaming has been my main hobby. I'll give almost any game a go.

  1. I can’t really disagree with much on that list, it’s mostly games i’ve enjoyed or at least can see why they are popular.
If i was to determine my favourites based on the time i spent playing them then No Man’s sky, Driveclub and Bloodborne would be my top three. Each one of those has provided me with obsessive levels of engagement and entertainment.

  2. I’m slightly off topic here but this is why I’d be fine if ps5 is a bit less powerful than Xbox-X. Some freaking amazing exclusives. If you were to make this list for Xbox one it would be Forza, Forza Sport, Halo and sunset OD, the rest would be multi platforms.

    • And what about Switch! At least half would be exclusives!
