The Division 2 is offline for maintenance

Ubisoft has confirmed that The Division 2 is currently down for maintenance and will go back online in a few hours time.

Agents attempting to log into the open world shooter won’t be able to do so or access any of the game’s features.

This appears to be plain old server maintenance with no new updates or content being added to The Division 2. When asked, the development team confirmed that there will be no player facing changes or stability fixes.

Since the game launched last March, The Division 2 has steadily expanded over a series of updates. These have added new World Tiers as well as other activities and content for Agents to take part in. The most notable additions include the series’ first ever co-op raid as well as Episode 1 and Episode 2 which have continued the game’s story.

Right now fans are eagerly waiting for more news on Episode 3. All Episodes have been added to the core game for free with early access granted to those who purchased a Year 1 Pass. Episode 3 was first teased at Ubisoft’s E3 2019 briefing and will take us away from Washington D.C. to Coney Island, hopefully bridging The Division 2 and its predecessor.

Here’s what Thomas had to say about The Division 2 at launch (full review):

The Division 2 is closer to what I imagine the original vision was for the first game. Washington D.C is a sprawling, deep and detailed world filled with baddies to shoot and loot to collect that keeps you and any friends that join you engaged well after you finish the campaign. The story is a bit shallow, but missions are well written and exceptionally designed, leading to an endgame built around tons of content and a deep loot system. The Division 2 is well worth investing your time in.
