A rumour arises suggesting Crash Bandicoot is heading to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

When it comes to the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster DLC no character is safe from speculation. After all Nintendo’s massive fighter has courted characters from all sorts of franchises from Pokemon to Metal Gear Solid, and Fire Emblem to Persona 5. Now a rumour is starting to come up that Crash Bandicoot will be coming to the game as DLC Fighter 6. Where has this rumour arisen from then you’re wondering. That would be Twitter user MandyCan. The reason this user is being paid attention to is that they correctly informed people that Byleth was coming to Smash.

Of course, this in no way proves that MandyCan knows anything at all. The Byleth information could have been a lucky guess. After all thousands of people can post guesses and someone will get it right. That’s just probability. The user did also state that Mortal Kombat 11 would be at The Game Awards too. Maybe, two lucky guesses.

However, MandyCan did get it wrong about Nintendo’s Direct predicting one would occur on January 16th, a week after the Pokemon Direct took place. While a Direct didn’t occur there was the Super Smash Bros Ultimate stream. We have no idea of who MandyCan is, how they could possibly have access to any such information, who is feeding this information if that is the case, or if the correct ‘predictions’ have been nothing more than educated or outright guesses. So, until Nintendo itself comes out with the details of the new DLC characters for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate don’t believe everything you read on Twitter.
