Granblue Fantasy: Versus will release this March in the West

Arc System Works and Cygames have confirmed a Western release for 2D fighting title Granblue Fantasy: Versus with news it will release in North America on March 3rd. It will release on February 6th in Japan. While Arc System Works and Cygames haven’t announced the European release date online retailers such as Amazon and TheGameCollection have Granblue Fantasy: Versus listed with a March 27th date.

Here’s a blurb for the game:

Granblue Fantasy has soared into the hearts of millions since its release as a browser game for smartphones in 2014, and will celebrate its sixth birthday in March 2020.  Featuring Cygames’ high-quality art, captivating sound design, and an ever-expanding game system, Granblue Fantasy has continued to charm its fans throughout the years.

Now Cygames has partnered with Arc System Works, known for such popular fighting franchises as GUILTY GEAR and BlazBlue, to bring Granblue Fantasy to the world of fighting games, complete with top-notch game design and one-of-a-kind 3D graphics.

Of course, the UK dates will be verified by the publishers eventually. The game follows a similar vein to the likes of Blazblue and Guilty Gear when it comes to style, and you can check out the gameplay in the trailer above. Granblue Fantasy: Versus will be a PS4 exclusive.

  1. Man this is going to be good!
Tried the beta it both looks stunning and plays well.
A mix of the accessibility (and looks) of Dragon Ball Fighterz and the depth of BlazBlue.
Roster might look smallish but it’s one of those fighters where each character plays very differently from one another.
