Epic Games has confirmed which games will be available for free next week on its storefront with the RPG Kingdom Come Deliverance and strategic beat ’em up Aztez being given away. The games will be available from February 13th until February 20th. This week people can grab Carcassonne, and Time to Ride for free. Pandemic had been announced as part of the line up of free games this week but was then removed from the list and pushed to a later date. Epic Games did not give a reason for the change but there has been speculation it has to do with the recent Coronavirus outbreak.
Dave reviewed Kingdom Come Deliverance in 2018 and at the time wrote:
If Kingdom Come: Deliverance has a ton of bug fixing to improve the performance drastically, it could be a hidden gem. It’s clear that the game, despite its grand ambitions, was simply not ready for public consumption. Shimmers of brilliance are there and had it seen more time in the oven, or set its ambitions at a more reasonable level, it could have been brilliant and scored significantly higher as a result. Alas, Kingdom Come: Deliverance is another cautionary tale rather than a trend setter.
It didn’t review well at the time due to gameplay issues but since then the team behind the game, Warhorse Studios, has improved the experience. Plus, it’ll be free next week so you may as well claim it and give it a go.
