Two Point Hospital goes green in Off the Grid expansion

Two Point Hospital is going green next week, and not because they’re feeling jealous or a bit queasy. No, it’s this new eco-friendly Off The Grid DLC expansion, coming to PC on 18th March. Owners of the recently released console versions will have to wait a while.

Two Point County’s leading concern, it turns out, is the environment, and this latest expansion sees mayor Tabitha Windsock found the Department of Green Things to make things go, well, green!

Off the Grid adds three new regions for you to play through, each with different characteristics. There’s 35 new and unusual – some might say… novel? – illnesses, nine of which are visual, like Green Fingers and Root Snoot. You’ll have to try and treat them in as eco-friendly a way as possible. You’ll be working your way through to Windsock City, full of green energy machines generating power, which can be diverted to power hospital rooms, or put to improving patient flow and staff applications, amongst other things.

Off the Grid is the fourth major expansion to the game, following on from Bigfoot, Pebberly Island and Close Encounters. If you’ve recently picked up the game on PS4, Xbox One or Switch, you’ll already have the first two of these bundled in, with Close Encounters something we’ll have to wait and see about. First up the game is being updated with the Superbug Initiative and Sandbox mode later this month.

It’s a good, solid port of the delightful PC game. In our Two Point Hospital review, Dom said:

“There are few games that can boast the level of personality and humour that Two Point Hospital does while still giving you something serious to sink your time into. For anyone with fond memories of Theme Hospital, this is the silly hospital management sim you’ve been waiting for.”
