Game of Thrones Beyond the Wall to launch later this month

In case you hadn’t heard, there’s a new Game of Thrones video game in the pipeline and you’ll be able to get your hands on it very soon.

Game of Thrones: Beyond the Wall is a new story driven, turn-based roleplaying game from developer Behaviour Interactive, creators of the hugely popular horror game Dead By Daylight.

Beyond the Wall is built for mobile platforms and will be releasing on iOS later this month on March 26th. An Android version will soon follow and is planned to launch on April 3rd.

As the name suggests, this latest video game adaptation based on the smash hit HBO series will take players into the far north where Wildlings and the White Walkers call home. Beyond the Wall features an original story that weaves together the tales of familiar heroes and villains while also introducing a cast of original characters:

48 years before the events of the Game of Thrones TV show, Lord Commander Brynden Rivers, better known as “Bloodraven”, disappeared while ranging beyond the Wall. Now it’s your turn to take command of the Night’s Watch.

As previously mentioned, this is a turn-based RPG though there are plenty of familiar mobile game trappings orbiting the squad-based battle system.

You’ll be tasked with recruiting members for the Night’s Watch, steadily collecting more and more exotic fighters to join your ranks among the common scoundrels sent to the wall. There’s a chance to unlock hero characters too including Jon Snow, Daenerys, Jaime Lannister, Melisandre, and Tormund just to name a few.

Organising ranging parties and building up your base of operations will also keep you occupied as you unravel the mysteries of the Three-Eyed Raven and get to grips with the game’s tactical grid-based combat.

Game of Thrones: Beyond the Wall is currently available to pre-order for free. The upcoming RPG has already surpassed one million pre-orders, Behaviour offering in-game rewards for when they reach the 1.5 million, 2 million, and 3 million milestones.
