Swery’s The Good Life has a new trailer, includes sheep riding, game delayed again

Hidetaka “Swery” Suehiro and his studio White Owls and in collaboration with Yukio Futatsugi and his G-rounding are stil working on the strange sim like title The Good Life, which was successfully funded via Kickstarter in May 2018.

A new trailer has been released which shows photography, cats napping in boxes, and sheep riding, but not a sign of Tom, Barbara, Jeremy or Margo, so something is clearly very wrong.

The game was set to launch last year but was delayed Spring 2020. Originally announced for PC, PS4, and Xbox One the game is now coming to Switch. “We have exciting news! The Good Life is coming to the Nintendo Switch after all. And it will launch at the same time as the PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One versions this year,” posted Yuya Yamada on the game’s Kickstarter page.

However, this new announcement comes with another delay.

The Good Life is coming in 2020, but not just yet…

As you follow our monthly updates, you have seen the game development is progressing and things are coming together.

Back in July, we announced that we were postponing the game to Spring 2020. We are going to ask you all to be a bit more patient, though, as we are working very hard to polish up the game, adjust it, and complete the final touches.

Realistically, the game will launch the second half of this year.

Please be assured that the delay has nothing to do with the Nintendo Switch version. As we need more time to finish the game on all platforms, that meant that we were also able to free ressources working on the PlayStation and Xbox versions to look after the Switch version in that extra time added to the development.

We will provide you with a more specific date as we get closer to the release.
