Mortal Shell is a “ruthless” action-RPG heading to PS4, Xbox One, and PC

Publisher Playstack and developer Cold Symmetry have revealed a brand new action RPG called Mortal Shell, and the game looks very inspired by the Soul’s series of games though there is some difference. While your character must travel through the land littered with the dead and creatures that pose danger there are also allies. They don’t actually know they’re allies because they’re dead too but that’s just semantics. In Mortal Shell the player can occupy the bodies of former warriors to access abilities to face off against other enemies. It is basically a bit of sustainability and recycling, I guess though with violence thrown in for good measure. The longer your character is linked to a mortal shell of these warriors the stronger the bond becomes and the better the skills become.

The description for Mortal Souls is as follows:

Mortal Shell is a ruthless and deep action-RPG that tests your sanity and resilience in a shattered world. Your adversaries spare no mercy, with survival demanding superior awareness, precision and instincts. Possess lost warriors, track down hidden sanctums of the devout, and face formidable foes.

There will be a beta for Mortal Shell and to have a chance of taking part you need to join the game’s Discord channel which you can do by clicking here. We don’t know what will be included in the beta yet or when it will be full available. What we do know is that Mortal Shell is expected to launch this year for PC, PS4 and Xbox One but again there is no solid release date yet.
