Silent Hill returns in new Dead By Daylight DLC

Yes, you read that correctly: Silent Hill – the iconic Konami horror franchise – is back. Well, kind of. In a way.

Looking to expand their ever-growing glut of crossover content, Behaviour Interactive have made Silent Hill the focus of a new Dead By Daylight expansion launching in June.

This new Chapter serves up three main highlights, including a new map (Midwich Elementary School), a new survivor (Cheryl Mason), and a new killer. We wonder who Behaviour chose?

In the past, Dead By Daylight has featured many memorable horror movie mainstays including SAW, Halloween, Scream, and A Nightmare on Elm Street.

The reveal trailer gives us a decent look at what to expect with gameplay footage for the Silent Hill chapter beginning to surface. In the meantime, here is developer’s official description of the upcoming content:

Midwich Elementary School is the scene of unspeakable horrors. Any sense of the innocence that once marked these halls is gone. In its place: stained walls, rusted chains, hanging cadavers and a sense that things have gone horribly wrong.

Pyramid Head, known as The Executioner, is a sadistic and merciless killer fixated on dispensing punishment through pain. Never without his hulking great blade in tow, Pyramid Head has stepped into the fog to fulfill his nefarious duty.

Cheryl Mason, previously known as Heather, is the game’s newest survivor. Having freed herself from the religious cult that had pursued her since birth, she now must fight an eternal battle in the Entity’s realm.

There’s no confirmed release date for the Silent Hill chapter just yet though we do know that it will be coming to console and PC versions of the game including PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.

The announcement came during Behaviour’s Dead By Daylight 4th year anniversary stream. Beyond the Silent Hill chapter they discussed the mobile version of DBD while also confirming that cross-platform play is on the way.
