Nearly eight minutes of PGA Tour 2K21 gameplay footage released by 2K

2K has released the first look at some PGA Tour 2K21 gameplay with almost eight minutes of footage. The gameplay is centred around the 16th hole at the Waste Management Phoenix Open (yes, that is what the tournament is called) with HB Studio giving a guided tour of the features players will be able to expect. It includes looking at the swing action as well as how PGA Tour 2K21 will be presented in a broadcast style.

Yesterday, 2K released details about the MyCareer mode. You will be able to create your character with tons of hairstyles and fashion options for both male and female players, kitting them out in gear from Adidas, Polo Ralph Lauren, Malbon Golf, Callaway Golf, Bridgestone Golf, TaylorMade Golf and more. Outside of career there are both local and online multiplayer options with game modes such as 4-Player Scramble, Stroke Play, and Skins. Players can also create Online Societies where they can run full length seasons and tournaments with friends. The events can be customised with different rules and requirements.

2K has a partnership with Adidas allowing for some pre-order bonuses. Anyone who pre-orders will get a Codechaos MyPlayer pack that features Codechaos Boa golf shoes, polo top, hat and trousers. Meanwhile, those who grab the digital deluxe version will get the same pack and the Golden Touch pack which includes a gold putter and driver as well as 2300 VC. Yep, the game will feature VC, so we shall have to wait and see just how balanced the microtransactions are, which isn’t guaranteed given 2K’s spotty track record.

HB Studios made the Golf Club games so there is some high expecations for PGA Tour 2K21. PGA Tour 2K21 will be released on August 31st for PS4, Xbox One, PC via Steam, Switch, and Stadia.
