One of the trophies standing in your way is a little bronze cup titled “Relic of the Sages” and in order to unlock it you’ll need to scour The Last of Us Part II to the find the location of an item known only as the Strange Relic.
Before we go ahead with our guide on how to find The Last of Us Part 2 Strange Relic, we want point out that while there are no story spoilers, there are screenshots and mentions of locations from later in The Last of Us Part II you may want to avoid, at least for your initial playthrough.
The Last of Us Part II Strange Relic Location
It’s worth mentioning that for this particular trophy you can easily dive back into chapter select after beating the main story to find this bizarre artefact.
The Strange Relic can only be found during the “Hostile Territory” chapter which has you exploring Seattle’s Chinatown and International District. After your first encounter with the Infected (two Runners followed by a Clicker) you’ll climb over a high wall and to your left will be an alley marked by a large dragon mural (see the screenshot above).
Navigate your way to the second floor of the buildings on your left. Kill or evade the two Clickers here then step out onto the balcony, jumping to the one opposite. Directly in front of you is a boarded up doorway. The Strange Relic is just on the opposite side so take a left and wrap around the two adjoining rooms to find the Orb laying there on a table next to a desk fan as shown in the screenshot below.
As PlayStation die-hards will know, the Precursor Orb is somewhat of an easter egg that has appeared in previous Naughty Dog games since Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. Those who played Uncharted 4 will have found it as well as a Firefly Pendant from The Last of Us and a Wumpa Fruit from the Crash Bandicoot series.
