January’s Stadia Pro games have been confirmed, includes F1 2020

Google has confirmed what games Stadia Pro subscribers will be able to get as part of their subscription, with four titles coming on New Year’s Day. Those four games are F1 2020, Hotline Miami, Figment, and Ary and The Secret of Seasons. That means subscribers only have until December 31st to claim Celeste, Dead by Daylight, Embr, GYLT, Risk of Rain 2, and Rock of Ages III. Earlier this week, Google added Cthulu Saves Christmas, Reigns, Enter The Gungeon, and Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light to the Stadia store. We reviewed the games that are coming to Stadia Pro, bar Hotline Miami, and you can check out excerpts below from each.

In our Figment Review, Steve wrote:

“I wasn’t expecting Figment to resonate so strongly with me. I was looking forward to seeing how its beautiful artstyle would work in the game and my interest was certainly piqued by the idea of enemies having song and dance routines. However, I went into the game thinking that it would be a fun diversion and was not prepared for it to get its hooks into me quite so much. The music certainly helps – I have found myself humming the tunes since finishing the game a few days ago, and the well-realised characters certainly don’t hurt either. But what really stands out with Figment is the way that it deals with loss and despair whilst managing to be optimistic and uplifting.”

In our F1 2020 Review, Thomas wrote:

“If it wasn’t for the addition of My Team, F1 2020 would go down as being great for newcomers, but past the best before date for those who have enjoyed recent iterations. Some elements are now very tired, but being able to oversee the running of your own team proves to be incredibly satisfying and just enough of a distraction – for now. F1 2020 highlights just how much of a team sport Formula 1 is, and that can only be a good thing.”
“At times, Ary and the Secret of Seasons can be a fun if not particularly memorable new action adventure game, but what will really stick in your mind are the various gamebreaking bugs you can stumble across. I would certainly wait a few seasons for patches before considering picking this up. There is the skeleton of an enjoyable family-friendly title here but it just isn’t ready.”
