A new cinematic trailer for Evil Genius 2 has been released, with a deceptively large amount of gameplay bundled in alongside the shiny CGI. Don’t let that distract you from Rebellion’s true intentions though, as they have also revealed their dastardly post-launch DLC plans for the game. Can anyone stop them from this madness? Are we all doomed?! Well… probably not.
Evil Genius 2: World Domination is out on 30th March for PC, inviting players to step into the shoes of four evil masterminds as they build their secret lair and then seek to defend it from the forces of good as they research and construct a doomsday weapon fit to take over the world.
Rebellion is building in a snazzy photo mode with the typical range of options, including field of view, depth of field, focal distance, filters, overlays and more. You won’t have to wait for it either, as it will be in the game from day one.
What won’t be there on day one is all of the post-launch DLC that Rebellion has planned, with both free and paid content. A new campaign pack is planned of post-launch, which will include a new playable Genius, island lair and Force of Justice to face off against. Further packs will also add two new henchmen, two new minions, rooms, traps and more.
A lot of that will be bundled into Season Pass One, which is included in Evil Genius 2 Deluxe Edition.
We went hands on with Evil Genius 2 a little while ago, finding a compelling new upgrade to the classic lair management sim. I wrote, “Brought bang up to date with a wonderful visual style, and with its familiar form of Machiavellian strategy management gameplay, it looks set to bring back the charm of the kitschy evil lair builder with aplomb.”
