Operation: Tango is a co-op spy game coming to PC and consoles soon

Clever Plays Studio has confirmed that its asymmetrical co-op spy game Operation: Tango will be released this spring, and that it will be available on PS4, PS5, Steam, and Xbox One/Series X|S. In the game one player takes on the role of Agent named Angel while the other player takes on the role of the Hacker named Alastair, and together they have to work together to successfully complete missions.

Both players will have their own perspectives of the world depending on the chosen role, allowing each to immerse themselves fully into the partnership. Communication seems to be key as both players will need to relate what they need the other to do as well as what they see in the world. The features listed by Cross Plays include:

  • SUPERIOR TEAMWORK – Be observant, keep talking, and make sure nothing explodes. Combine complementary skill-sets to overcome intense challenges against “impossible” odds.
  • AUTHENTIC ESPIONAGE – Exotic locations filled with thrilling scenarios create classic “Hollywood” spy moments. Experience the ultimate secret agent fantasy!
  • TECHNOLOGICAL TOYS – Enjoy the visual splendor and technological advances of a fully-connected augmented world.
  • INNOVATIVE BRAINSTEASERS – Overcome obstacles in ways you’ve never dreamed. Each mission features unique challenges, keeping you and your partner on your toes while delivering some of the most satisfying “eureka!” moments in modern gaming.

Missions will vary from breaking into places to taking part in high speed chases. According to the studio, Operation: Tango has been made to appeal to players of all skill levels while letting them explore a world that is set in the near future that feels both familiar and different to our own.
