Maneater’s DLC expansion is called Truth Quest, and it releases this summer

There is some major DLC being released this summer for Tripwire Interactive’s Maneater, and that DLC is called Truth Quest. Truth Quest will bring with it a new region called Port Clovis which is the centre of conspiracy theories about mutated creatures. You can learn a bit more from series narrator Trip Westhaven in the reveal trailer below.

Sean McBride, Creative Director at Tripwire Interactive, said:

“The team has been hard at work on Maneater: Truth Quest and we’re excited to announce the first details on the downloadable content that so many fans have been asking for. We’re aiming to give players more of what they loved from the original Maneater, with the ability to grow bigger, explore an entirely new region off the coast of Port Clovis, and evolve further tools of destruction. Inspired by Scaly Pete’s father’s tales of ‘Gub’ment Experiments’, we pick up where we left off and join Trip Westhaven and the shark’s journey down the rabbit hole of conspiracy and military cover ups as you eat, explore and evolve through these uncharted waters.”

The features of Maneater: Truth Quest will include a level cap increase to 40, a maximum size increase, five more organ evolutions, a new Uber Apex predator, more evolved hunt creatures, five new bounty bosses, military land forces that will bombard the waters, helicopters will attack from the skies, time trials, and new Failure to Communicate objective where items have to be tail whipped at a target.

Jim wrote in our Maneater review:

“Maneater is a crazy concept come to life, Tripwire somehow managing to cobble together a silly ShaRkPG that is more than just a ten-minute novelty. There’s no denying it’s an exotic catch, but when it comes to quality open world action games, there’s plenty more fish in the sea.”

Maneater: Truth Quest will cost $14.99 / €14.99 / £12.99.
