Hot Wheels Unleashed gameplay shows fast action on the Garage track

In February, Milestone announced the arcade racer Hot Wheels Unleashed for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC on 30th September. At the time the studio released a CGI trailer, but now there is a gameplay trailer of Hot Wheels Unleashed which shows the track called the Garage.

When Hot Wheels Unleased was originally revealed Michele Caletti, Executive Producer of the game, said:

“Like many other team members who worked on the game, I’ve been playing with Hot Wheels since I was a child, and today I’m still a hungry Hot Wheels fan and collector. This is the reason why we’re all so committed in delivering the purest and most authentic Hot Wheels gameplay experience ever in a video game. We owe it to the Hot Wheels community and to our inner children.”

The game will be playable in single player game modes, but there will also be multiplayer both online and offline through the use of split-screen. Additionally a track editor will let you create and customise tracks in any game environment and then share them with the game’s community. There will be a broad range of Hot Wheels cars found in the game, each with different attributes and associated rarity levels, and they can then be customised further with a variety of different skins.

Developer Milestone is best known for their various motorbike racing series, from MotoGP 20 and Supercross 4 to the Gran Turismo-esque Ride 4. The last time they went for four-wheeled racing was with the merely OK Gravel, but the more focussed arcade action of Hot Wheels Unleashed could be a better fit.
