Two more DLC packs are making their way to Planet Coast: Console Edition with Ghostbusters and the Studios Pack coming to Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 copies of the game on Thursday 29th April.
As with previous DLC packs for Planet Coaster: Console Edition, this is all content that was first released for PC over the last few years, repackaged and released as a pair for the console release.
Planet Coaster: Ghostbusters from 2019 is a love letter to the classic movie, featuring the voice acting of Dan Aykroyd and William Atherton, giving you scenery pieces and sound effects for things like the ECTO-1, Slimer, the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, Ghostbusters HQ and more.
Meanwhile the Studios Pack from 2018 is there to let you choreograph stunt shows, line up backlot tours and create more cinematic rides. Add more drama to your park, in other words.
In both cases, there’s all of the building materials, new rides and coasters like the RollerGhoster and Re-Motion, as well as new blueprints that have been created for the Console Edition – these are prebuilt buildings that take a lot of the effort out of manually placing each individual item in a scene.
Planet Coaster: Ghostbusters will be priced at £12.99/$14.99/€14.99, while the Studios Pack will come in at £7.99/$9.99/€9.99. Unlike the last DLC drop, there’s no bundle pricing for the two together. It’s probably down to the licensed content for Ghostbusters…
Following in the footsteps of the already fantastic PC version, we had great things to say in our Planet Coaster: Console Edition review, when the game came out at the end of 2020, where Dom wrote:
Joy, wonder and engrossing park management come together to spectacular effect in Planet Coaster: Console Edition. Frontier are masters of the park building art, and as we enter a new console generation that’s never been clearer.
