Pokémon GO Fest returns this July

Niantic and The Pokémon Company have confirmed that Pokémon GO Fest will be returning this July 17th and 18th. 2020’s Pokémon GO Fest was largely virtual due to the many lockdown restrictions put in place because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Participants had to pay $14.99 for the tickets with the proceeds all being donated to various charities and campaigns. With COVID-19 still an issue this year Niantic may opt to do something similar this year. However, many countries are aiming to reduce lockdowns or stop them entirely. For example, England currently has a date of June 21st to return to as much normalcy as possible which could allow for Pokémon GO Fest to run as intended in England, and the rest of the UK.
