EA Play Live will be taking place in July

EA has announced that its summer showcase EA Play Live will return this year, and that it will be broadcast on July 22nd. Last year, EA Play Live took place on June 11th. The July date marks a bit of a departure for EA’s own conference as it has usually taken place on the same weekend as E3. E3’s digital 2021 event will still be taking place in June with the likes of SEGA, Nintendo, Microsoft, Bandai Namco, Ubisoft, and Capcom are amongst the attendees this year.

It is likely that Battlefield 6 will be a big part of the EA Play Live show, though it will be getting a reveal in June too. In addition, there will no doubt be a showcase of FIFA 22 and Madden 22. Dragon Age 4, which is now called Dragon Age, could be making an appearance too after years of drip fed information. The game had a teaser at the Game Awards in 2020. Maybe there will be a teaser for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2. EA has stated previously it is aiming to release another Star Wars title in 2022, and a sequel to Cal’s story seems to be the most obvious route since we know Battlefront 3 is not in development. Skate 4 news is unlikely since it was only teased at EA Play Live last year but you never know.  EA will also likely showcase some more indie titles which it has been giving attention to over the last few years, with It Takes Two being the big one from last year.

From the heady days of the Mega Drive up until the modern day gaming has been my main hobby. I'll give almost any game a go.

  1. I wonder if any Codemasters games will be involved this time around?
