Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One E3 trailer is rather cinematic

Frogwares has released a brand new trailer for its next game Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One. The game stars a young Sherlock Holmes who has travelled to the Mediterranean to solve the case regarding the death of his mother. The new trailer focuses on the cinematics and not gameplay but does show young Sherlock solving a murder case before embarking on his main journey. Accompanying Sherlock Holmes is Jon, not Watson, the character who will be in the role of the best friend. You can watch the trailer below.

Sherlock, who is being played by Alex Jordan, will be seeking to not only solve his mother’s death, but prove himself as a detective. As in recent Frogwares Sherlock games, you won’t be stuck with a single solution to the cases, but will have to apply your deductive chops in piecing together the various clues and coming to a particular conclusion and even accusing the wrong person. The overall game will also have multiple endings because of this, the story continuing even if you pin the wrong people. The island itself will be open world and will contain five mainline quests as well as 30 side quests, which will push the game time to 40-50 hours. As Sherlock likes his disguises players will be able to don these to try and gain the trust of different people that live on the island.

Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One is coming out this year for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
