DotEmu has confirmed the release date and details for Streets of Rage 4’s Mr X Nightmare DLC, and it will the expansion will be available from July 15th. It will cost $7.99. Mr X Nightmare DLC will be add a new Survival mode in which players will be able to enter a simulation to take on waves on enemies. After each stage players will be able to upgrade their characters to use new moves and abilities, which in turn allows for more combos. There will also be new weapons to use against enemies with both melee and environmental options.
The Mr X Nightmare DLC will also add Estel, Max, and Shiva as playable characters. Alongside the paid content of Mr X Nightmare DLC, Streets of Rage 4 will also get a free update. This free update will add a new Mania+ difficulty mode, a training system so you can get a better grip of the characters, new colour palettes for the characters, and a number of balance changes to improve the experience.
