Koei Tecmo has confirmed that Project Zero: Maiden of Black Water will be released on October 28th for PC, Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. The game is also known as Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water. It was first released back in 2014 for Nintendo’s ill-fated Wii U. At the time Project Zero: Maiden of Black Water received mixed reviews, so Koei Tecmo will be hoping this remaster irons out some of the issues and is better received. You can watch a new overview trailer below.

In our review for Project Zero: Maiden of Black Water, Dave wrote:
Those looking for a spooky adventure for Halloween can certainly find one in Project Zero: Maiden of Black Water. Taking photos of ghosts while trying to keep dry is enthralling, while Mount Hikami’s forests and shrines are among some of the spookiest locales in the franchise. Once you have gotten used to the mechanics though, it’s far too easy to just plough through the game and the characters themselves are almost as vacant as… well ghosts! An enjoyable treat at least, but not enough tricks.
