Evil Dead: The Game has now been pushed back to May

Evil Dead: The Game will not be making the previously announced February 2022 release window, Saber Interactive has confirmed. Now, Evil Dead: The Game has a release date target of Friday 13th of May. The reason for the delay is similar to the previous reason and that is that Evil Dead still needs more polish before it is ready to be released to the public.

In a statement, Saber Interactive wrote: “Hey Evil Dead fans! When we set out to create a brand new game worthy of the Evil Dead franchise, we knew it had to be groovy as hell. In order to deliver the best possible experience, Evil Dead: The Game is now coming on May 13, 2022. This delay gives our team the time they need to get things just right, so your boomstick will be polished, fully loaded, and ready to blast Deadites on that Friday the 13th of May. We thank you for your patience and understanding. Don’t worry, you won’t have to wait too long for more news: stay tuned for pre-order info and a BRAND NEW TRAILER in February!”

Evil Dead: The Game was first announced back in the 2020 Summer Games Fest, and was originally scheduled to be releasing in 2021. The game was then delayed from 2021 into February 2022. This new announcement is the second delay for the game, and with the relatively short time until May 13th it is unlikely Saber Interactive will delay Evil Dead: The Game again, unless there is an absolute need to.  Evil Dead: The Game will be using elements from all points of the franchise including the movies and the TV show. Ash vs Evil Dead and will allow you to team up with friends in co-op or play as the evil demonic force. The game will be released on PC, Xbox One, Xbox X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.
