This latest patch doesn’t add anything new to the game though there are currently a couple of live events underway, including a NieR: Automata crossover.
Instead, you can expect some minor improvements across the board. Read on to find out what changes PlatinumGames has made in Babylon’s Fall update 1.05.
Babylon’s Fall Update 1.05 Patch Notes
- Added stability fixes
- Added performance improvements.
- Implemented minor balance adjustments.
- Minor bug fixes.
Fans of the Japanese developer’s previous work will have not doubt been holding out for the NieR: Automata cross-promotion. Its presence can be felt throughout Babylon’s Fall in a new time-limited event that has plenty of rewards on offer.
Not only has the Sentinel HQ hub area been redecorated in tribute to the brilliant action RPG, you can even dress up as heroes 2B and 9S. For a price, of course. Still, there are some free goodies up for grabs as you complete special missions, defeat enemies, and explore the newly added Amusement Park Rabbit level which will be available as of later today. The crossover started at the end of March and ends on April 26, 2022. In addition, PlatinumGames is offering extra rewards for those who beat Kur, an endgame boss fight.
Without pulling any punches, BF is easily one of the worst games of 2022 so far. Visually it’s a mess with ugly character models trudging through dull mazes, the storyline doing very little to keep players engaged.
What’s perhaps more egregious is Square Enix’s blatant attempts to monetise the game beyond its laughable £59.99 price tag. We explain more about Babylon’s Fall microtransactions here.
On day one, there’s a battle pass, daily missions, login rewards, and plenty of ways to spend money on microtransactions. Even if Babylon’s Fall launched as a free-to-play title, we’d still be left very disappointed.
Square and PlatinumGames recently put out a player survey, teasing that a potential graphics upgrade may be on the way.
