Crusader Kings 3 will be getting a new pack on May 31st, and that pack is called Fate of Iberia. Fate of Iberia will add a brand new Struggle system which highlights the unique circumstances of regions that have been the centres of conflict through history. In the Fate of Iberia you will be able to try and unite Spain or go down an alternate route where different rulers hold onto portions of the Iberian peninsula.

Other new features of Crusader Kings 3 Fate of Iberia will include two additional Legacy tracks, Urbane and Coterie, new Cultural Traditions, new interactions, new events that incorporate both unique situations to Iberia as well as others that impact the wider world, new artwork to reflect the styles of the time, and new music. The pack will cost $6.99/£5.19/€6.99, though will be available for no additional cost to those who own the expansion pass and Royal edition owners.

In our original review for Crusader Kings 3, Stefan wrote: “The best way to think of Crusader Kings 3 as a sequel is in terms of its own dynastic gameplay. Sure, Paradox have started from scratch with a new game, but it’s still full of scheming, warring amidst an impressive breadth of cultures and religions. Crusader Kings 3 is an heir that has been born from Crusader Kings 2 and its many expansions, including and improving on so much of what made that game great, but it can still grow and improve in its own right.”

In the follow up review for the console version, Stefan wrote: “Get used to the slightly cumbersome controls, menu heavy play and perhaps choose for a slower pace, and Crusader Kings 3’s innate charms can still shine through on console. This is still a game that’s all about dynasty, family and roleplaying your way through the ages, and it’s still just as compelling as ever.”
