Surviving The Aftermath New Alliances DLC releases in a couple of weeks

Surviving the Aftermath Review Header

Surviving The Aftermath is getting its first major expansion through the New Alliances content, Paradox and Iceflake Studios have confirmed. New Alliances will add quite a bit more content to the survival colony builder game, including new buildings, an expanded world map featuring beasts and bandits that will target the colony, and covert missions to try and sway the wider world to fall in line with your own goals and views. These covert missions will include espionage, theft, sabotage, and the placement of propaganda to sway societies.

New Alliances allows us to dive deeper into the Dynamic World Map and lets our players get creative with how they interact with other societies. This is a major milestone for Surviving the Aftermath that goes beyond the colony and adds more strategic depth to the Wasteland,” said Lasse Liljedahl, Game Director for Surviving the Aftermath. “We are continuing to listen to our players and improve Surviving the Aftermath’s gameplay with more features and expanding the game’s mechanics. Our community has been absolutely crucial to Surviving the Aftermath’s ongoing development and New Alliances brings in features that players have been eagerly anticipating.”

The New Alliances content will bring in new societies that could become allies or foes, depending on how you deal with them. Maintain good relations and your power across the world will grow, but get on their bad side and these societies will instead ally with your foe.

In our review for Surviving The Aftermath, Adrian wrote, “There’s a lot to like about Surviving the Aftermath and I became genuinely invested in the continued existence of my survivors, fighting and struggling with all I had to get them through the many hardships of living in a post-apocalyptic world. It’s unfortunate that I was constantly forced to return to exploring the turn based world map, rather than having fun building stuff. Also, if you do decide to pick up Surviving the Aftermath, it’s probably best to go for the PC version to avoid the contradictory brain-melting console controls.”

New Alliances will be available on June 16th, priced at $14.99 /£11.99 GBP/14.99 EUR. Alongside this, a Forgotten Tracks radio pack will also be released. This pack will include a total of 18 tracks across two playlists, Easy Raider and Radiant Hearts. This radio pack will cost $3.99/ £2.89/3.99 EUR.
