Two iconic Marvel characters have joined the roster in Firaxis’ upcoming Midnight Suns game adaptation, revealed in a brand new cinematic trailer. Spider-Man will be joining the goodies, while Venom ends up a corrupted part of the bad guys team joining the mother of demons, LIlith.
Midnight Suns will be out on 7th October 2022.
Originally been set a March 2022 release window, 2K and Firaxis chose to bump the game back to the end of 2022 to give it a bit more time to be polished and refined. Mark October 7th down in your calendar if this has got you excited!
The game pits your team of Marvel heroes against Lilith, mother of demons in what is described as a “single-player focused experience” and your customisable character happens to be the offspring of the big bad, Lilith. It’s going to be a tactical RPG where you not only fight alongside fellow superhero’s, you live with them as well. Your relationships off the battlefield will effect those on it.

Over on the PlayStation Blog, Firaxis has been chatting about how they’ve adapted and modified the visual design of each character. Tony Stark’s tech-heavy influence is paired with Doctor Strange’s mytical powers, so while colour palettes might be the same, there’s some distinctive new looks and individuality to this game.
The game is an adaptation of 1992’s Rise of the Midnight Sons cross-over event in the Marvel comics universe and will feature twelve playable characters, some familiar, some less so. Magik from the X-Men and Nico Minoru from the Runaways are two such characters. Marvel’s Midnight Suns will be released on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S. Xbox One, Switch, and PC.
