SBK 22 is going to be released on September 15th, Milestone has announced, a decade on from the last release in the series. SBK 22 is going to be released for PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. There will be a both career mode and online multiplayer, along with the incorporation of A.N.N.A System AI. You can check out the announcement trailer below.

SBK 22 will include the Official 2022 WorldSBK Championship which sets the base for the game’s career mode. The career mode will feature all of the events from the official calendar, the official roster of racers, and team pit environments. Within career mode players will not just be racing but managing the entire team. This includes hiring the likes of a Chief Engineer, Data Analyst, and Personal Manager. Players will also work on improving their bike’s performance. The A.N.N.A System is an AI system that has based how opponents will react based on their actual personalities and performances through gathering data. There will also be various editors in SBK 22 that allow you to edit things such as helmets and stickers

SBK 22’s multiplayer will support up to 12 players online with players able to change rules and settings to customise. That includes choosing to add the Tissot-Superpole session from SBK before the race, or to skip it altogether. Way back in 2012, I reviewed SBK Generations and wrote, “Overall, SBK Generations does exactly what you expect it to. It’s a bike racing sim, which will appeal to fans of Superbike racing and engine tinkering. However, though the racing is okay, it’s nothing that stands out. If you are a Superbike racing fan get it as it’s the only game of its kind coming out this year, but for more casual racing fans it isn’t a must buy.”
