Marvel Snap global release date confirmed for mobile and PC

marvel snap global release date

Nuverse and Second Dinner have confirmed a Marvel Snap global release date during the Disney and Marvel games showcase. The superpowered card battler will officially launch on October 18, 2022, and will be available for both PC and mobile (iOS and Android).

Marvel Snap has been accessible in some regions for a while now with comic book fans around the world demanding a global release. Not only is it propped up by one of the biggest entertainment franchises around, developer Second Dinner has some virtual TCG prowess, helmed by Hearthstone lead designer, Ben Brode.

While there is no shortage of great card games, this latest contestant offers a fast yet fiercely tactical foray into the genre. Each match pits two elite teams of Marvel heroes and villains against one another as they battle to control three randomly-selected locations plucked from Marvel’s expansive lore.

Where other card games can demand a huge time commitment, both in playing matches and optimising decks, Snap has been a refreshing alternative and has quickly become one of the most-used apps on my phone. It’s also free-to-play, removing any barriers for those wanting to play.

Those eager to try it out can pre-register ahead of the Marvel Snap global release date. In doing so, you can bag yourself either an exclusive Iron Man or Hulk variant, depending on whether you’re on iOS or Android.

The announcement was definitely big news to some, though there were plenty of other reveals during the Disney and Marvel games showcase. This includes a first look at the upcoming untitled Marvel game from Skydance, helmed by Uncharted writer, Amy Hennig. It will star four main characters, including Captain America and Black Panther, touting a World War II setting. Other highlights from the broadcast included a Tron visual novel from Bithell games, Marvel World of Heroes from Niantic (Pokemon Go), and a new release date for Marvel Midnight Suns.
