A seven minute gameplay video for upcoming fantasy hunting title Wild Hearts has been released by Koei Tecmo and EA, showing one of the main creatures that will be the target of a hunt. That creature is Kingtusk, a huge boar that seems to be infused with elemental power. The footage shows the traversal mechanics too of how to get around the world, and is also split into sections that feature a solo player and multiplayer.
The setting of the Wild Hearts footage is the Hanagasumi Hills, one of the four regions that will be in the game. As you can see from the gameplay this area is filled with greenery and flowers, with the time of year meant to be spring. The other three hunting grounds will reflect the remaining seasons of summer, autumn, and winter.
Wild Hearts is not a fully open world game with the hunting grounds being separate hub areas to explore and hunt in, and the multiplayer will be maximum three player co-op. Here’s an official synopsis: “Master ancient tech to hunt down giant beasts. WILD HEARTS™ is a unique twist on the hunting genre where technology gives you a fighting chance against fearsome beasts infused with the ferocious power of nature itself. Take on these creatures alone or hunt with friends in seamless co-op.”
Wild Hearts will launch on February 23, 2023, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam and Epic).
